There are two sorts of people. Those who snooze their alarm several times before getting up in a rush and leaving home without having had breakfast. And then there are those who’d rather get up 40 minutes earlier just to have time to enjoy a good cup of coffee or tea and a yummy, healthy and filling breakfast.
My boyfriend definitely belongs to the first category. And yes, you guessed correctly, I definitely belong to the second one. Breakfast is sometimes my favorite meal of the day and I really appreciate those quiet morning moments before it gets serious. I actually can’t think of a better way to start my day.
I remember what my brother and I used to say to each other before falling asleep every time we went on family vacation:
Do you know what I really look forward to? BREAKFAST!
But let’s be serious… your body needs energy to get through the day. And why not celebrate that moment instead of grabbing something quickly on the go, something of lesser taste and often bad for your body.
Having breakfast can become an indispensable routine. I know that there are a lot of people that just aren’t able to eat a bite before 10 a.m. and that’s fine. In that case, you can opt for overnight oats or breakfast bars which can easily be consumed on your break. Check out my breakfast recipes for on-the-go solutions.
